Let's talk Tucker food...

Tucker has all the "normal" chain restauarants, but these are the family-owned places that make living here easier.

Shorty's - Pizza for adults

Enzo's - Pizza for adults and kids

Matthews Cafeteria - It's been on the Food Network...best Brunswick Stew ever. The Fried Green Tomatoes are my favorite. I will eat about anything at Matthews.

Old Hickory House - BBQ, but we eat there for southern breakfast goodness. BBQ omelet..."Put Some South in your Mouth" is their slogan.

Bambinelli's - Everything Italian. Their slogan is "Put Some Italian in your Mouth."

Grecian Gyro - Greek food, wonderful Greek food FAST.

Mint's Vietnamese - Small place, big flavor and CHEAP.

Los Hermanos - Great specials!

Blue Ribbon Grill - Makes me feel like I've been transported back to 1988. Great food...especially Beer Cheese Soup. Big portions.

El Tapatio - Classic Mexican

Mighty Joe Espresso - Better than Starbucks

Alcove Coffee & Tea - Colorful atmosphere.

Reasons why I live here...

I never thought I would live OTP. Tucker is very OTP. I thought that I would hate it. As I approach my two year anniversary of living in Tucker, I have found more than a few reasons why I like living here.

1. The price tag of a home in Tucker is FAR less than living just a few miles away in Decatur.
2. The food. More on this later...
3. I can be downtown in 15 minutes (depending on traffic). I make it home faster than some in-town people that I work with.
4. It's diverse. That is very important to me.
5. Many great parks and close to Stone Mountain Park.
6. Friends...we have many friends that grew up here and will raise children here.
